Salt Hill Care Centre is a cosy and inviting 50-bed nursing home nestled in the heart of Slough. Our purpose is to cater to a diverse range of needs and to offer both residential and nursing care for frail elderly residents.

We pride ourselves in going the extra mile – providing dedicated support and understanding for those dealing with dementia and cognitive challenges and ensuring compassionate care within a warm and friendly environment – a happy and stimulating homely environment where high standards of nursing care, meet a commitment to fostering independence.
What we’re offering
Discover our suites
No matter which suite you’re in, you’ll find them all tastefully decorated spaces that offer comfortable style and a restful environment.
Each floor is equipped with a dedicated dining room and a cosy lounge where residents can enjoy television, watch a DVD, or listen to music.
A nurse’s station is nearby and there’s even a refreshment area where our residents are free to help themselves to snacks and drinks. A spacious lift and wheelchair lift service makes all floors accessible for all.
Every room has its own private bathroom and are tastefully decorated in a modern style, equipped with amenities like a profiling bed, nurse call bell, telephone point, and a flat-screen television.
Windsor Suite
On our lower ground floor at Salt Hill Care Centre, you’ll find our Windsor suite.
Windsor comprises seven beds and is primarily dedicated to convalescence and post-surgery recovery. Our skilled nursing team encourages residents to regain independence in a cheerful environment decorated in autumnal colours of red and orange – creating a cosy setting where residents are able to relax.
As well as a mini library with DVDs, videos, music and books, Windsor suite also features a hairdressing salon and chiropodist’s room for a bit of pampering.
Hampton Suite
Hampton Suite is found on our ground floor and comprises thirteen beds. Here you’ll be greeted with a floor decorated in shades of blue – a restful and welcoming space where residents can receive general nursing.
Hampton is where we host seasonal activities – so there’s something new to see and do on a regular basis.
Buckingham Suite
Our Buckingham Suite has fifteen beds and is dedicated to providing specialist care for those coping with dementia. Decorated in soothing hues of autumnal browns, our team of carers create a supportive and comforting environment.
It’s a space designed for care that goes beyond the norm – embracing individual preferences and fostering a sense of well-being.
Sandringham Suite
Sandringham is a calm and serene space. Decorated in hues of blue, this is a quieter atmosphere designed for those coping with dementia. Sandringham is found on the top floor of our home.

Our home from home atmosphere is something we are particularly proud of with three purpose built floors. Each has its own lounge and dining rooms and quiet room which are colour coordinated and equipped with furniture that provides welcoming atmosphere.
