Salt Hill Care Centre Edges Closer to ‘Good’ in Latest CQC Report"

CQC Acknowledges Marked Improvements in Care Standards

Slough, April 2025 – Salt Hill Care Centre has continued its upward journey of improvement, following the release of its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report. The care home has once again been rated ‘Requires Improvement’, as it was in 2023 — but this time, it came within a single point of achieving a ‘Good’ rating in the ‘Safe’ category. The latest findings mark a significant leap forward in the centre’s performance and reflect sustained progress since it was first rated ‘Inadequate’ in 2022.

The inspection report, now published on the CQC website, highlights marked development across multiple aspects of care. Salt Hill scored above 70% in the majority of CQC Lines of Enquiry (CLOEs), with inspectors noting positive changes in safety protocols, leadership practices, and overall service responsiveness.

This is the second consecutive inspection in which Salt Hill has maintained its improved status, underscoring the effectiveness of focused improvement plans and the hard work of the staff and leadership team in transforming the home’s culture and care delivery.

“We welcome the findings of the CQC’s latest inspection,” said Dr Pradeep Anand, Director of the service provider for Salt Hill Care Centre. “Although there’s still work to be done, the leap forward we’ve made in such a short time is a testament to our team’s dedication and drive for excellence. We firmly believe an ‘Outstanding’ rating is within reach.”

The latest inspection recognised key improvements in how residents are safeguarded, how staff are supported, and how the service is managed on a day-to-day basis. In response to the report’s findings, the centre is already implementing further enhancements to close the remaining gaps and push performance even higher.

Salt Hill Care Centre’s progression reflects a story of determination, resilience, and a clear commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. The home remains focused on achieving higher standards with each inspection, with the goal of securing a ‘Good’ — and ultimately ‘Outstanding’ — rating soon.
